Wanda SG That's the problem...if you invite one close auntie, then you'll be obliged to invite the whole chain gang and then it ends up to many more tables. I had to be very strict on the definition of immediate family. Luckily can get away with it.
honeymouse SG We only had 70 people at the wedding. Most of them are family and close friends only. I would not want any bigger than that and the reception is expensive enough for us - $92 per person. But it was a nice place (guess you saw the picture on Don's wedding thread). It took me a whole year to plan the wedding but thank God, everything turned out better than I expected (except the weather - it was pouring down hard!!!).
av98m SG oh that guy, always does mass orders for nikon stuff from hong kong or wait....errmm.....cannot remember liao
elindra SG Couldn't leh Coz I think I am the first grandchild I was grumbling to my mum how come my auntie (dad's sis) can get away with no wedding dinner and I can't I'm lucky that I have very supportive parents My relatives were all against Mr Pinky Bear coz he is not Chinese But my parents know that when I have made up my mind god bless the person who tries to force me into anything (Also they like him so I guess it helps)
honeymouse SG Because I had my wedding in Oz so most of my relatives couldn't make it. Otherwise, it would well exceed 70 people. Probably had to invite parents' friends too....
the Bear SG survive is one thing.. my ex-gf and i planned this if it was going to become a big (our term for it) wedding circus... leave a DVD of us saying "we saw the guest list and did the only sane thing we could.. we ran away... we're now on a plane to Barcelona and we hope you all enjoy your dinner"
elindra SG A yr? We only had 3 months which really was only a month planning for us coz I had a biz trip and was busy Heck I flew back like a day before my wedding But everything was indoors for mine so it's ok Only sad thing was my best friend didn't come for my wedding coz she was seriously ill
the_don SG Hi Choco!!! *put head under choco hands and puurrrsss* still looking for photographer.. yesterday we went to visit one. his work is really nice for his price (2,200 that is only for his photog services excluding album). My main grouse was that he is so absorbed about his 'art' that we felt like just 'things' for him to shoot. heck we could not even say wat photos we wanted for the custom laminated album. TX loves his album but i'm gonna tell him to forget it.
the_don SG for the day itself. for studio i got golden horse awards to do. I'm more particular abt the day cos you cannot 'rewind' so more willing to spend.
choco B SG Yah, those too "artistic integrity" type of photographers are difficult to handle. You don't wanna handle his tantrums cos you asked for certain shots. Slowly, slowly seive through them.. sure can find one
the_don SG your wedding was beautiful!!! love the set up. too bad sg dun have such nice places. everything is so commericalized.
